Manchester Pride : Day By Day
| Friday, 15th til Monday, 25th August |
Manchester Pride : Celebrating 18 Years! @ Gay Village : Canal Street, Manchester
It's hard to believe that Manchester Pride has been around for 18 years - maybe because of it's various guises as Mardi Gras, GayFest, EuroPride and the AbFab Weekend. During that time, it's built itself up to one of the biggest Pride events in the country and is now a registered charity in its own right. This year will be a right old celebration - you can expect the usual fun and frolics in and around Manchester's Gay Village and Canal Street with all the venues doing their utmost to keep that party going all weekend. There'll be stages, and group areas, along with markets and foodstalls. The week's run up to the big weekend will also feature lots of other events - from clubbing and partying through to arts and cultural entertainment.
Check nearer the time for full details of performance lineups, all the events and clubnights on REALManchester.com and REALPride.com! view map

Manchester Pride - The Parade @ Gay Village : Canal Street, Manchester
A carnival atmosphere will fill the streets of Manchester and is set to enthrall the thousands of spectators - young and old, gay and straight, friends and family - who come down to see the glamorous and the outrageously fabulous people who take part.
The parade travels up Deansgate from Liverpool Road, past the Great Northern Square and right up past Rylands Library where it swings right onto St Anne Street. Turning right onto Cross Street, it moves onto Princess Street and past Albert Square by the Town Hall where the judging platform will be situated. Continuing down Princess Street, the parade makes it way down to the village, turning left at Whitworth Street and finishing at Aytoun Street.
For the best view of the parade, we'd recommend picking a spot along Deansgate to avoid the crowds around the village! view map
times: 2pm - 4pm.
door tax: Free - but tickets will be required to access the Pride Village site and around Canal Street afterwards.
