The Northern Aces Tennis Group started as a friendly weekly tennis meet in 1999 at the Sugden Sports Centre. It has grown significantly over the years and the not-for-profit group now aims not only to provide the LGBT people with a means to play tennis, but to provide a relaxed, social atmosphere where all ages and abilities are welcome to go along and improve their game.

You'll find weekly sessions at Sportcity, professional coaching, and both internal and international tennis tournaments.

Northern Aces welcomes membership from people over the age of sixteen, who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered and those individuals who accept and support the needs of such a group. In order to become a member you need to first attend three of their Saturday sessions as a guest. Annual membership is £20 at time of writing.
