Northern Wave is flowing through 2008 in fantastic shape, with better attendances and some amazing swim results form its team of Masters Swimmers.

So far this year club member Lizzie Bellinger shattered a 12 year old British record in 50m Butterfly with a time of 29.29secs! Lizzie’s iconic performances really inspire the Club’s rapidly growing group of women swimmers and set a shining example to all across the sporting world. In the last 18 months, Northern Wave swimmers have hauled in over 150 medals for Manchester, and many are gold!

Of course, this is not accidental, the Club has a great coaching team led by Rob Ward. Rob’s passion for swimming and his dedication to bringing the best out in swimmers and aims to take this to new levels as our team prepares for its 10th anniversary swim Sept 13th. Focused coaching makes motivated swimmers and the results can be a formidable medal winning swim team to make us all very proud!
