New night 'Uberchic' came to Manto this evening promising a range of house music from fresh and funky to deep and dirty and they did not disappoint. Downstairs was fairly busy, but as the partying went on until 7am as part of the Manto Breakfast club, then we're assuming people went along after the bars had shut (not that we were up long enough to capture that).

Meanwhile the upstairs Manto lounge played host to Homiesexual. Described as the only dedicated gay RnB night in Manchester it has a regular following of boys and girls. I wasn’t too sure what the lucky dip at the cloak room was about, but had great fun spinning the wobbly man toy (my prize) around my floor on Sunday morning!

about Manto

Manto on Canal Street is legendary - one of the original features of the gay village and has been through a number of changes over the years. Set on three floors with a covered and heated external balcony on the second level which also serves as a sheltered smoking area, this is very much a place to see and be seen.n.
