No serious games would be complete without some action in the water, and this year's Pride games had it by the bucketload!

The swimming events took place at the gorgeous and spacious Manchester Aquatics Centre, originally built for the Commonwealth Games. The centre has two 50 metre pools as well as a specialist diving pool - which doubled as a water polo pool during the Pride Games.

Pool events included the expected freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and relay events, as well as the water polo tournament that ran throughout the day.

Meanwhile, down in the warm-up pools there was a taster SCUBA session allowing everyone the opportunity to don a tank of air and see how it feels to breathe under water...
