It's estimated there were up to 250,000 people watching, and I can quite imagine that. It really shows how much an integral part the gay village is in Manchester City Centre, and how many people were there enjoying it and supporting the gay community in our city.
There was a very small anti-gay demonstration by about 5 members of the National Front in Exchange Square, but they were easily outnumbered by the counter protest stood in front of them and the cheering from the crowd.
Having spent the day with Barclays assembling their float, it's a bit easier to imagine just how much effort goes into each and every float. Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to bring it all together and put on such a fabulous show.
