review

There's always something interesting on at Taurus and tonight was no exception. Arranged as a special event for World AIDS Day, 'Liebe Macht Frei' (Love Sets You Free) was based on the biography of Janni Kowalski.

The performance started with Janni reading a section of his true story - a tale of love, loyalty and tragedy, set against the background of the German occupation of Poland during the Second World Ward. The Newfound Theatre Company then helped bring to life this story of one man's battle against all the odds. Performances from the Manchester Lesbian and Gay Chorus complemented the proceedings.
