Pride was launched to an enthusiastic bunch of media representatives with a few drinks and nibbles at Piccadilly's Rosetti Hotel.
Andrew Stokes, Chair of Pride and CEO of the Manchester Tourist Board welcomed everyone and highlighted some of the reasons why Manchester has one of the best Pride events in the country.
Next, Councillor Glyn Evans, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Manchester, said a few words about how supportive of the event the council were - and brought a touch of humour to proceedings by joking about the amount of money that Pride get from them.
Paul Martin, CEO of the LGF then shared some of the success stories of Operation Fundraiser and thanked everyone for the part they played in making it so.
