It's a Knockout!...
review
It's really lovely to see the businesses around the Village are able to get together... It's a Knockout outside Taurus provided the perfect opportunity for some friendly competition between the bars once again this year.
The event was organised as part of the Pride Games Lite festivities, and was very well attended. The 2006 REALManchester Award for Bravery goes to the Northern Wave team who entered in their speedos - enough, alone, to win them the prize given the dipping temperatures on Canal Street that night... but more specifically to the member of the team that planted his face into the brick in the three-legged race but got straight back up and managed to get over the finish line before being carted off to hospital for stitches! Ouch!
As well as the three legged race there was the egg-and-spoon, a wheelbarrow race, the obligatory handbag-tossing (what a strong arm that Trevor has!) and the grand finale was a tug-of-war that seemed to have the whole of Canal Street screaming for their favoured team...
Don't forget can now add your own thoughts about the event by using the "loved it" system below...
