Tonight was Pride's Official Opening Party down at Cruz where we were treated to a night of pop, disco, dance and RnB anthems courtesy of residents Almighty Donald & H Bradley. Downstairs in Sub, Tony Woof put down his camera and picked up his headphones to spin us a weekend warmup mix of dance & electro house. To top it all off, superstar club vocalist Kym Mazelle ("Got To Get You Back", "Love Me The Right Way") gave us a storming live PA set.

Manchester Pride has been around for a number of years, previously in the guise of Mardi Gras, GayFest and the Ab Fab Weekend. In recent years, the organisation has grown significantly, focussed its aims and provided a network for community groups, the City Council and the gay businesses - no mean feat!
