Pride & Pride Games Parade & The AXM Hub...
review
As has become the tradition a group of colourful Pride supporters and volunteers took to the streets to celebrate the start of both Pride and the Pride Games festivities. The lively bunch took their drums, dancing and spread their smiles the length of Canal Street before ending up at Sackville Gardens for the AXM Hub - where the Manchester Prairie Dogs were waiting to entertain.
Unfortunately rain dogged the park this weekend - meaning that those who had made it to the park were forced to take refuge under the tents to watch the shows. There was plenty of talent on stage with performers such as Karen Danzig, Angie Brown and the Boy George Experience keeping everyone's spirits up. There were also community information stalls, bars and food available throughout the two day event.
loved it!
I like doing Pride and aways get dressed up for it. I just loved doing the parade and found that I was having my photo taken all the time - that's me at the top of this article! tigerinbed2, 31 Aug 2007 [+]
