I didn't really get the chance to thank you all properly, which I'm very sorry about. Even when I was given the chance to make a speech on Monday night I was too choked to spit out many words.

So get your buckets out, ladies and gentlemen, I'm about to gush...

It was the very best birthday weekend anyone could hope for. Lots and lots of lovely people all in one place at one time, a gorgeous hotel, a lovely meal, a Canal Street to explore, two fantastic nights out clubbing, a champagne gathering on Monday, lots of lovely presents, a truly amazing song, and another night clubbing at Wild Fruit. I can't imagine that I'll have another birthday to match it.

Thank you all SO MUCH for making it so amazing. I hope these pictures (all 350 of them!) help you to remember some of the good times!

Sunday morning was a bit of a strain with only about 10% of the party showing up for breakfast, but by the time Canal Street warmed up at 2ish the group was out in force. Alcohol began to flow freely again, and by 5 even I'd forgotten how little sleep I'd had. view review

about Manchester Pride

Manchester Pride has been around for a number of years, previously in the guise of Mardi Gras, GayFest and the Ab Fab Weekend. In recent years, the organisation has grown significantly, focussed its aims and provided a network for community groups, the City Council and the gay businesses - no mean feat!

The next Manchester Pride date for your diary:

Saturday, 12th July - Sunday, 12th October
