There's something fabulous about starting the Pride weekend together with a big group of good friends in a club where you can all find each other... and keep an eye on the entertainment of course...

Cruz threw a great launch party with lots of funky sounds as well as some high camp disco of course. We were even treated to a live PA from Tina Cousins. And I even recognised one of her songs! I think. Unless it was a cover... I'm so lame sometimes.

Manchester Pride has been around for a number of years, previously in the guise of Mardi Gras, GayFest and the Ab Fab Weekend. In recent years, the organisation has grown significantly, focussed its aims and provided a network for community groups, the City Council and the gay businesses - no mean feat!
